Our goal is a credible, profitable, commercial-scale operation that’s producing 100 - 1,000 pigs per year (Polyface Farms raises 700-800 per year with this model).

Contrary to what a lot of people assume, we don't put pigs on a pasture to save money on feed or labor. Instead, it reduces capital investment significantly. You can get started with very simple infrastructure. You'll also improve soil and vegetation while producing pork with dense and balanced nutrition.

The pastured pork model provides easy entry for new farmers.

• It decentralizes production and manure. You don’t need to spread the manure or the equipment to do it.
